The Chad Foundation For
Athletes And Artists was established in memory of Chad Alan
Butrum, who died suddenly at age 26 during a football game, because of
an undetected heart disease. We have developed this site to provide a resource
not only for the Foundation, but for parents and others who are affected
by heart diseases in children. Our immediate goal is to promote early diagnosis
of heart disease and heart muscle abnormalities, so that sudden heart failure
can be prevented and the condition be treated if found. The Chad Foundation
was also established to support projects in athletics and the arts, which
promote the lifestyle and ideals which Chad celebrated during his life.
If you are unfamiliar with The Chad Foundation, please read Chad's
